What is in the Juvéderm family of fillers?
For the face, we use Allergan’s JUVÉDERM® line of fillers which includes Juvéderm, Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella. Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a natural substance in the body that delivers volume to the skin. Modified HA is the main ingredient behind the Juvéderm line of fillers. Getting treated with fillers helps add or restore volume to different areas of the face without surgery.
How long does Juvéderm, Volbella, Vollure, and Voluma last?
Juvéderm and Volbella typically last up to 12 months. Vollure typically lasts up to 18 months. Voluma is the longest lasting HA filler and can remain for up to 2 years. Results may vary by individual.
What are the potential side effects?
The most common side effects of Juvéderm fillers include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, and bruising. Side effects are moderate and generally lasts less than a week.
Who should not use fillers?
Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis). You should not use fillers if you have an allergy to any component of the product, if you have a bleeding disorder, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
