As you age, skin begins to lose its ability to produce collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid effectively which results in the formation of lines and wrinkles around the lips and mouth from everyday activities such as smiling, talking, and eating.
Belotero® Injectable gel is a prescription hyaluronic acid filler that is FDA-approved to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds as well as other moderate-to-severe lines and wrinkles around your lips and mouth.
How it works
Belotero® is a flexible gel created using the Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) process which allows the injectable to blend into the natural structure of your skin. Belotero® is integrated with hyaluronic acid to gently fill those stubborn etched-in lines and wrinkles around your lips and mouth.

How are Belotero® injections Performed?
Prior to injections, Dr. Wray, or her nurse injector, Katie Vaughan, will evaluate the patient’s overall health and discuss areas of concern for the patient. From there, your healthcare provider will establish a treatment plan with you and may also combine the procedure with BOTOX® Cosmetic or other injectable fillers to customize your rejuvenation experience.
Belotero® is injected under the skin using a fine needle and there may be a degree of discomfort associated with the procedure. We will usually ice the area to help prevent bruising.
Preparing for your Belotero Balance® treatment:
In order to keep possible bruising to a minimum, it is helpful to avoid medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other NSAIDs for 2 weeks prior to your injections. Avoiding alcohol use for up to 48 hours prior to your injections could limit bruising as well.
You can expect swelling and some redness at the injection sites. Depending on your procedure, there could be bruising. Camouflage makeup can be used and is available for purchase in our office. Ice packs will help alleviate any temporary discomfort and help with the temporary swelling and bruising.
How much does Belotero Balance® Cost?
The cost of cosmetic injectables varies based on type and amount used. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards including VISA®, MasterCard®, Discover®, and American Express®. We also offer financing through CareCredit®. Payment in full is required prior to or at the time of your procedure.
